Is Your Business SB-553 Compliant Yet?

July 17, 2024

If you own a business in California and haven’t taken action to attain SB-553 compliance yet, there is no time to waste.

As of July 1, 2024, California employers are now required to implement an Active Threat Response Plan and Employee Training Modules that meet the new Workplace Violence Law requirements, SB-553/California Labor Code Section 6401.9.

This training is now required to ensure workers receive the same protections against workplace violence that healthcare workers in California already have.

Unfortunately, there is no grace period for non-compliance with SB-553, and fines range from $18,000 to $25,000 per violation.

What does your business need to be compliant?

• An Active Threat Response Plan
• Hands-on Training for Staff
• On-going Compliance Management
